Understanding Your Own School Culture

During the past 4 weeks, we have been focusing on different aspects of school culture. There is power in reflection, and we don’t do it enough. So, while you’re on this post, set aside time now to reflect on the Student Success Culture at your school.
Think about the type of culture you desire for your school. This will help you develop firm beliefs about the type of culture you want for your school. You cannot lead and make the necessary changes when do not believe first. Our beliefs always manifest themselves through our behavior and decisions. Do you believe that you are making a difference at your school? If not, do you believe that you can implement systems to make a difference for the students and staff at your school?
The Student Success Culture Reflection is a list of questions to help you reflect upon the current student success culture at your school. My hope is that it will confirm what you are already doing or help you identify places to make changes.
